Great hotel. Friendly staff. delicious breakfast.

Made the mistake of going on 4th of July week. They Had an event charging 100 a person more to eat and see fireworks. otherwise no dinner. Restaurant was closed. But luckily we could see fireworks from our balcony, yet there was a gigantic tree blocking our whole view. We didnt eat, we didnt see fireworks, I went there because It was haunted. I like ghost hunting and it was my reason for choosing it. Somehow I booked through expedia yet they booked someone else the haunted room I choose when booking. It was a bout 10 rooms away, up 2 hallways. Breakfast was a few poppyseed bagels and a plate of berries, and a fly buzzing around it. I've never been so disappointed with circumstances of how this all happened. Im sure in any normal circumstance on a non joliday week, its a great beautiful elegant haunted place...but I clearly chose the wrong week to come. Our room was clean and beautiful, and our bathroom was really nice. But I won't be back, unfortunately.

The cabin and grounds are well-maintained. The pool was crystal clear and the slide was a nice addition. Gorgeous views!

Tammy, the assistant inn keeper and restaurant manager was fantastic. She was attentive to every need. The restaurant staff was phenomenal as well highly recommend, it’s a little hidden gem off the beaten path. I will definitely return. Had a fabulous time.

The lock situation on the door to my cabin was concerning. The key was required to lock it from both the inside and the outside (presenting a hazard if I needed to escape quickly), and there was no deadbolt. There was another lock that had a keyhole on both the inside and outside, but my key did not work on it. As a single woman staying on the property entirely alone in the off season, I felt the need to barricade my door each night to ensure nobody could get in, since I couldn't deadbolt it.
